Welcome to Your Local Shakopee Dentist

Girl sitting in our reception areaAt Dr. James Arhart’s Dental Office in Shakopee, we take pride in providing some of the highest quality dental care to Shakopee, MN, and our surrounding towns. We work hard to make all our patients feel welcomed and comfortable whenever they're at our dental office, especially if it's your first time.

We’re always excited when a new face comes in, and can’t wait to meet you. Before we meet for your first visit to our Shakopee dental office, we would like to provide you with a little more insight on what your first visit will include.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

As you have never been to our dental office before, we will first ask you to fill out some forms. These forms include:

You don’t have to fill these out before arriving to our office so don't worry if you forget, or haven't had time. Just be sure to come into the office a bit earlier than your appointment so you have time to complete them before your appointment.

What to Expect During Your First Visit

On your first visit to Our Shakopee, MN dental office you should expect to spend about an hour with us. Your first visit includes us getting to know each other better, so we don’t want to rush you through your exam. We will also take some measurements to help get a better picture of your teeth and their structure by taking an X-ray of your mouth and jaw. After we have finished taking X-rays, we will begin with your first cleaning at our office. After your cleaning, we will then examine your teeth. During the examination, Dr. Arhart or one of his expert staff members will recommend any other treatments that you may need like fillings, or Periodontics and discuss how your teeth are doing. At this time you can also discuss any cosmetic dental procedures you might be thinking about like dental implants, bonding, or teeth whitening.
